Blog and Pinterest

Let Pinterest pin your new blog articles automatically.

Pinterest can create Pins by itself from an RSS feed, but Shopify's built-in blog feed has no images, so Pinterest can't use it. Tradeline adds an image feed for that (from version 1.0.5):

1. Turn on Theme settings › Social media › Blog image feed for Pinterest (off by default).
2. Give your articles a featured image. Articles without one are left out, because Pinterest needs an image for every Pin.
3. Open https://your-domain/blogs/your-blog-handle?view=pinterest to check it: you should see a feed listing your articles.
4. In Pinterest, go to Settings › Create Pins in bulk › Auto-publish, paste that address, choose a board and save. Your website must be claimed in Pinterest first.

Each Pin uses the article's title, summary (excerpt) and featured image, and links back to the article. New articles are picked up automatically.
