Branding and store-driven content
What fills itself in from your store's own setup, and why there are no show/hide boxes for it.
Tradeline reads what you have already set up in Shopify, so a new store looks complete without extra typing. A theme setting always wins when you fill it in.
- Logo and favicon: the theme's logo setting first, then Settings › Brand (logo and square logo), then your shop name as text. Used in the header, footer, password page and age check.
- Cover image, slogan and short description (Settings › Brand): fill hero slides without an image, the footer text, the password page message and the default meta description.
- Social links: Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Snapchat, Tumblr and Vimeo. A link in Settings › Brand › Social links is used first. Theme settings › Social media fills any network Brand leaves empty and accepts any address, for example a campaign page instead of a profile. A network set in neither place shows no icon.
- Brand colours: opt-in only, with Theme settings › Colors › Use brand colors (off by default), so they never override colours you chose.
- Footer: policy links, payment icons and Follow on Shop appear when your store has them. Policies a footer menu already links to are left out of the bottom bar.
- Internal tags: blog tags that start with an underscore (for example
_featured) never show to shoppers. Use them for your own automations.
Because these follow your store, there are no "Show …" check boxes for them: add the content in Shopify and it appears; remove it and it disappears.
