Tradeline Lite and Full

What the free version includes, what a Full licence adds, and how to add your licence code.

Tradeline is one theme with two levels. Without a licence it runs as Tradeline Lite, which is free. A Tradeline Full licence (yearly, for one store) adds the features below. You never reinstall: adding the licence code switches them on in the theme you already have.

What Full adds

  • Back-to-top button
  • Product tabs (in Lite the same rows show as accordions)
  • Press coverage section
  • Infinite scroll on collections and search (in Lite, the Load more button)
  • Promo tiles in the product grid
  • Option values on product cards, such as colour swatches
  • Pre-orders
  • Gift wrapping
  • Blog image feed for Pinterest
  • Light, dark and system mode
  • Shipping and returns in your Google product data
  • Quick order search box and in-cart status (from 1.3.0)
  • Quick order category picker (from 1.3.0)
  • Compatibility table and Product FAQ blocks (from 1.4.0)
  • Stock by warehouse block (from 1.5.0)
  • Spec labels and units, number filters sorted by value, From and To boxes on number filters (from 1.6.0)
  • Trade (B2B) buyer bar, payment terms and store credit in the cart, trade sign-in prompt (from 1.7.0)

Everything else is in Lite: the five styles and 15 industry kits, quick order and bulk enquiries, pay-later messaging, delivery estimates, Load more, combined listings, Sign in with Shop and all 11 languages.

The settings for Full features are visible in Lite too, so you can see what they do. If you switch one on without a licence, your customers don't see it and the theme editor shows a notice.

Add your licence code

  1. Find your store's myshopify.com address in Shopify admin under Settings › Domains. It looks like your-store.myshopify.com.
  2. Sign in to your licence page with your licence key (sign in to your account with the email you paid with to see it), enter that address and choose Get code.
  3. In Shopify admin open Online Store › Themes › Customize › Theme settings › Licence, paste the code into Licence code and save.

The code works only on that store. It stays valid for 14 days after your licence period ends; when you renew, get a new code from the same page and paste it in.

Updating to a new version

The licence code is a theme setting, so it moves with your settings when you update (see Install and update).

Licence check (from 1.8.0)

With a licence code, Tradeline checks the code with Veloso Labs at most once every 7 days in each browser, and each time you open the theme editor. The check sends the theme version, your store's myshopify.com address and the code, nothing about your customers or orders. Stores running Lite without a code never contact our servers.

If the licence was refunded or revoked, or the code is used on a store it wasn't issued for, Full features switch off within 7 days and the theme editor says the code no longer works. If our servers can't be reached, nothing changes. A licence covers one store.

Buying, renewing and refunds

  • Price: Tradeline Full is US$149 a year for one store, with updates and support included. Tradeline Lite stays free. Pay with PayPal or a card through PayPal on the Tradeline page.
  • After paying: create your account or sign in with the same email address as your PayPal account. Your licence key is listed there, and your licence page has the download and your store's code.
  • Renewal: the licence renews automatically each year through PayPal. To stop it, cancel the subscription in PayPal under Settings › Payments › Automatic payments; the theme drops back to Lite when the paid year and its 14-day grace period end.
  • Refunds: within 14 days of a payment, write to us through the support form. The payment is refunded in full through PayPal and the subscription is cancelled, so it doesn't renew. A refunded licence stops unlocking Full features within 7 days.
